Enjoy Specialty Coffee at Home
At Quad Coffee Lab, we work with trusted importers like Café Imports, La Bodega, and Theta Ridge. These folks don't just care about the coffee, they support coffee farmers around the globe by paying fair prices for high-quality beans.

And why not focus on sustainable roasting? We use cutting-edge roaster tech from Stronghold: a small-batch S7X roaster powered by electricity instead of natural gas, and a seven-layer smoke filter that traps the nasty stuff instead of releasing it into the air.

Purchase or subscribe here, and enjoy delicious specialty coffee at home or work. Keep your eyes open for special offerings, too, when we'll bring you exceptional beans and a variety of roast levels.
Brewing Guide
Automatic Coffee Maker
Quick. Easy. And if you grind a brilliant bean right before brewing, it's a great way to start the day. Here's our suggestion for getting the most out of your brew:
Weigh beans: approximately 1 gram of coffee for every 18 grams of water. That's about 106 grams of coffee for a 12-cup coffeemaker.
Grind medium-coarse.

Turn that brewer on and let it do it's thing.
Cold Brew
Sweet. Smooth. Goes down easy. To brew up a batch, here's our suggestion:
Weigh beans: approximately 1 gram of coffee for every 18 grams of water. For a quart of cold brew, that's 53 grams of coffee.

Grind coarse.
Combine coffee and water, steep in the fridge for 24 hours.

Filter the grounds and dilute to taste.
Pourover
Not quick. Not exactly easy. But an exceptionally satisfying process and result. To brew:
Heat water between 195 and 205 degrees F (we like 202 F). Or, boil and let it rest for a minute.

Weigh 18 grams of coffee.
Grind medium-coarse.
Pour 50 grams until all grounds are wet, wait 45 seconds.

Pour 50 grams, wait 10 seconds, and repeat until you have 306 grams (about 10 ounces).
Espresso
Neither the process nor the result is for the faint of heart. If you have the gumption and the gear, here's the process we recommend:

Weigh beans: go for 18-20 grams of coffee for a 36-50 gram double shot, depending on your taste preference and portafilter basket size.

Brew the double shot, aiming for a coffee-to-espresso ratio of 1:2 to 1:2.5. So 20 grams of beans should give you a 40 to 50 gram double shot.
